I'm very pleased with the front cover of Blog of the Dead - Sophie. The idea of the Russian dolls came from Suzi Ashworth of Sweet Pandemonium, who designed and painted them for me. I love the detail she went into, even including Stewart's guitar on his back, even though his back wouldn't be seen in the final cover.
The photography was done by Ian D Johnstone of IDJ Media and I think the old school style of photography adds to the overall effect.
Ian's great sense of humour created some wonderful shots, and the one above of Kay peeping out from the other doll's bodies is one of my favourites from the shoot.
I am proud to have Suzi and Ian's work on my front cover. And the fact that they are both Folkestone locals means even more. The novel is, after all, set in Folkestone, Kent, and I am very passionate about my crazy little town.
